Long videos
As with many people I was overwhelmed by a large amount of emails advertising Mike Filsaime’s latest offering Review Crusher (no, I am not an affiliate).
He advertised this product with a 50 minutes video with no fast forward, rewind etc..
Well, I don’t know about other folk but I do not have the patience or the time to watch a 50 minutes sales video, in fact I do not have much patience with videos at all – albeit with reservations.
I am at present, and as mentioned earlier, involved with John Thornhill’s Personal Coaching Program and I have to say the teaching videos are excellent and are very much fit for purpose, as we say these days. Time is always available for first-class tutoring.
However, when it comes to sales videos I have a built-in resistance.
I do not have the time to watch these videos and I prefer the written word which I can read much faster and if necessary I can scroll back to clarify a point.
John Thornhill made a valid point about learning from product releases by the big boys and that is fair comment but in this case the only option was to download Mike’s video and fast forward with that to find out what the bottom line was as this was not an option with the email version.
Mike has an excellent reputation as a top marketer and I have bought from him before and there is always something to be learned from him but I am afraid that the extremely large amount of emails I received about Review Crusher more or less immediately after the large amount of emails received from many of the same people recommending John Reese’s Traffic Secrets2 left me with a severely clogged up inbox and no time to read them all.
I was not aware that I was on so many lists!
I don’t believe anyone has the time to read all these mails, which really only pushed whatever bonus the sender was offering. Net result was a lot of deletions which is quite sad really as I am sure they were not sent with that in mind.
I am not quite sure where we go from here as I am sure Mike and John Reese made some serious money from these campaigns but as a non-guru on the receiving end I wonder if I will stay on all these lists or whether I can handle the next campaign (but not this week!).
