Introducing PicLens/CoolIris’s cool web browser plugin
Today I thought I would mention another great add-on that is of interest to lovers of images in any shape or form.
PicLens is a web browser plugin made by Cooliris that provides interactive full-screen slideshows of online images. The plugin is available for Safari, Firefox and Internet Explorer.
At present, the software is compatible with Google Image Search, Yahoo Image Search, Ask.com Images, deviantART, Flickr, Facebook, Live Image Search, Photobucket, SmugMug, Fotki, YouTube (for videos), and any web site that implements Media RSS <link> tags in their HTML pages.
This software is brilliant!
It lets you create a moving wall of images.
You can move the wall backwards and forwards, click on an image to zoom in or start a slideshow.
PicLens comes with a search bar for images and you can also click on the left sidebar and get current news images in what seems to be an endless wall, images of sports, entertainment, science – and so on.
Picasa Web Albums, your photos, is particularly good with this.
If you’re also a movie buff, here’s a freeware that uses Piclens 3D wall to display your DVD collection, your favorite movies & series, your favorite actors, etc…
It also uses the latest PicLens feature to find videos on YouTube (trailers, interviews, making of, alternate scenes, spoofs, etc…)
You will notice a small arrow appears in pictures that are on your screen which when clicked on opens up the picture in PicLens

This is free at the moment, it’s very good – download it now!
